If you expect windsurfing, exotic scenery and no night life Lanzarote is your place. Costa Teguise is the biggest windsurfing spot on the island. It is also a one of the few places with any kind of night life. On the beach there are F2, Fanatic and Tiga rentals. The wind really picks up in the afternoon. Mornings are good for beginners with long boards and afternoons for shortboarders. The beach is protected by jetties but once you get outside there is a shallow reef which makes for a good swell and a nice break. If you want really good waves head for Jameos del Agua in the NE corner of the island or Famara on the west coast. La Santa on the west coast has a sheltered lagoon for beginners.
